Job Description:
We are seeking highly motivated female and male applicants to join Ecolab's Institutional division. The Institutional division is Ecolab's core and largest business, addressing the cleaning and sanitation needs of the restaurant, lodging, and other institutional foodservice customers. In this entry level sales and service role, you will partner with your customers to provide sales and service support using Ecolab's innovative custom cleaning solutions. Ecolab will jump start your career with a standardized training program that consists of on-the-job training as well as attending classroom training through Ecolab University at our headquarters.



Main Responsibilities:



* In this entry-level field sales position, you are responsible for selling and servicing new accounts as you continue to grow and service existing accounts.

* While working independently, you will learn your customers' operations, understand their cleaning challenges, and devise cleaning solutions to meet their needs.

* You will use your mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair dispensers and equipment.

* You will provide emergency service coverage to appreciative customers who operate around the clock.

On-Call Weekend coverage: 1 in 5 weekends
Overnight Trips per Month: none

Income package offered: $38,000 - $42,000 (base) plus limited commission potential during first year. A company vehicle will be provided as part of your total compensation package.

Basic Qualifications:


* Completed Bachelor's Degree

* Previous sales experience

* You must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds

* A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (2 years).

* Proven ability to be resilient, persuasive, and deliver results.

* Excellent planning and organizational skills, strong relationship management capability, outstanding consulting, and demonstrated flexibility to adapt and adjust your day to assist your customers are preferred skills in order to succeed in this fast paced multi-tasking environment.

* Mechanical reasoning ability and exhibited problem solving skills are used to troubleshoot and repair equipment and dispensing systems (i.e., plumbing, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience).

Job Description:

Area Technical Support Coordinators in Ecolab's Food and Beverage division provide value-added technical support to customers and field sales and service personnel. This position requires expert technical aptitude in working with our field sales and service organization, customers and industry to make appropriate recommendations of effective sanitation programs that produce quality results at an economical cost.



Main Responsibilities:



* Troubleshooting complex customer sanitation or related problems, which are unusual or which are beyond the expected ability of our Account Managers and District Managers.

* Communicate to the sales force, sales staff and management, techniques and general information regarding products, services, equipment and procedures.

* Train account managers and customers in technical applications of Ecolab Food & Beverage products, programs and systems.

* Provide technical support related to the following areas: operational savings, troubleshooting of problems, ROUF solutions, plant startups, in-plant training and audits of customers operations.

* Provide counsel and complex problem solving to Food & Beverage customers, concerning products and equipment as well as total plant quality programs and related issues.

* Provide verbal and written reports detailing the recommendations that are made to customers or F&B personnel.

* Plan and manage within given budget parameters development of programs for improved sanitation or related products, procedures and services.

* Field testing of new products or procedures as assigned.

* Provide recommendations related to safety standards and protocol.

Basic Qualifications:


* B.S. or M.S. degree in Microbiology, Engineering or Dairy/Food Science.

* Experience (8 years) in dairy or food plant operations or quality control, preferably in supervision of multi-plant operations is desired.

* Willingness to travel up to 75%

Preferred Qualifications:


* Above average oral and written communication skills are mandatory, as is a degree of computer and mechanical aptitude.

* Demonstrated problem solving skills are mandatory.

* Ability to take initiative and work independently

* Strong follow-through and organizational skills

* Ability to prioritize multiple projects and to adapt to changing priorities

* Willingness and ability to work off hours

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record

* Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
