This is an invitation to lead engineering and manufacturing equipment maintenance for Ecolab's Lean Six Sigma chemical manufacturing plant in McDonough, Georgia. The Maintenance Reliability Supervisor is an exciting new position for an eager take-charge hands-on person who has led a maintenance team, demonstrated a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to excel when faced equipment maintenance challenges. Our Maintenance Reliability Supervisor will have the opportunity to advance his/her leadership skills while overcoming the challenges of maintaining equipment in a chemical plant environment.
You will have the opportunity to demonstrate strong leadership skills by effectively overseeing three shift, 24/5 execution of all maintenance activities in a Lean Six Sigma chemical manufacturing plant. We are looking for someone eager to learn and troubleshoot multiple functions within the plant including mechanical, electrical, and facility related systems while developing associates to be more self directed and focused on plant performance. You will develop maintenance schedules to avoid manufacturing downtime and quality issues and will establish performance expectations as you engage a new team of 12 mechanical technicians to ensure plant assets are maintained at their designed operating performance using cost-effective, safe and quality-conscious methods. Expect to gain recognition for the improved metrics your team achieves through the implementation of better reactive and preventative maintenance practices as you effectively employ the CMMS system. In addition to driving maintenance and maintenance planning, you will manage some capital projects and installation of equipment.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity with the chance to participate on Lean Six Sigma teams and gain Green Belt training. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advance to other roles in Ecolab's North America or Global Engineering teams in plant and corporate roles.
Main Responsibilities:
· Prescribes a regular preventative & predictive maintenance program, leads maintenance team, develops productivity measures and provides team training and support to ensure that equipment and facility function as planned to avoid downtime.
· Manage good working relationships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers and inspectors.
· Manage supply procurement, budget preparation and scheduling.
· Develops and manages annual plant maintenance budget.
· Leads maintenance team, develops productivity measures and provides training and support.
· Generates and implements ideas that improve quality indicators, in line with cost, investment and service goals.
· Selects and manages maintenance, equipment & engineering vendors.
· Manages capital authorization development & implementation to address facility and existing equipment issues.
· Ensures capital projects are executed per the budget and timeline.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
· 3 years manufacturing maintenance / reliability experience.
· Some supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
· No Immigration Sponsorship available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Lean Six Sigma project experience.
· Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
· Local candidates only within 100 miles of zip code 30252; nominal allowance offered.
· Demonstrated ability to employ predictive maintenance technology (vibration analysis, infrared analysis, ultrasonic analysis, etc.) with electrical and electronic systems knowledge and experience.
· Hands on maintenance and supervisory experience in a multi-process batch chemical industry.
